Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure a polished appearance
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment with proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of all hotel facilities by using janitorial equipment effectively and efficiently
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety during incidents or evacuations
- Adhere to sanitation standards and safety protocols to uphold hygiene and prevent cross-contamination in all areas
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops
- Familiarity with chemical handling, including the use of chemical agents for cleaning and disinfecting purposes
- Experience in hotel housekeeping management or similar hospitality roles is advantageous
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is a plus
