Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive store displays through merchandising best practices
- Process retail transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems while ensuring proper cash register operations
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or providing store information over the phone
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual settings (English and another language) if applicable
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product details to assist customers confidently and perform product demos when required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
