The Department of Health Services (DHS) Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), Office of Plan, Review and Inspection (OPRI) is recruiting for a Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer. OPRI is parallel to the design industry with a regulatory focus. Under OPRI, this opportunity brings together the skills set of design, regulation, and health care facility inspection, both federal and state.
A $3,000 sign-on bonus applies to those with no prior state service in the last five years; who stay with DQA in the position until completing probation. Bonus will be split, $1,500 upon hire and $1,500 after completing probation.

This position:

Will be headquartered at the Southern Regional Office located at 201 E Washington Avenue in Madison.

Requires travel throughout the Southern region of Wisconsin 2-3 days per week but may also include other regional travel as needed (approximately within 125-mile radius). Overnight stays may be required. Click this link to see a similar example map of the regions.

When not travelling, this position offers the option to work from home most of the time. In office work may be necessary periodically for meetings, training, onboarding, and other operational needs.
