About the Role:
As a Pharmacist in Oncology at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a critical role in supporting safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy for oncology patients. Working closely with providers, nursing staff, and the oncology care team, you will oversee medication management, ensure chemotherapy safety protocols are followed, and support optimal treatment outcomes for patients receiving cancer care.

Collaborative oncology and infusion-based care environment focused on safety and precision.
Primary Responsibilities

Review and verify chemotherapy and oncology medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.

Collaborate with providers and clinical teams on treatment plans and medication therapy decisions.

Ensure compliance with oncology protocols, dosing guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and adverse effects.

Provide clinical consultation and medication education to providers and care teams.

Support compounding oversight and sterile preparation standards in coordination with pharmacy staff.

Maintain accurate documentation in pharmacy systems and electronic medical records.

Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within oncology services.

Assist with medication reconciliation and supportive care medication management.

Support patient-centered oncology care through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Perform other duties as assigned to support oncology pharmacy operations.
Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.

Current Pharmacist license in the state of Illinois required.

Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred.

Previous experience in oncology, infusion, or hospital pharmacy preferred.

Strong clinical knowledge of oncology medications and treatment protocols.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.

Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Experience with sterile compounding and oncology workflows preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $102,939.20 - $154,419.20, with actual pay determined by experience, education, certifications, and internal equity, with additional compensation possible through incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
