Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide medication administration following care plans and ensure accurate documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s and dementia care by implementing behavior management strategies and engaging in therapeutic activities.
- Monitor vital signs, perform health assessments, and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Drive residents to appointments or outings safely while adhering to all driving regulations and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and basic patient care procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving activities.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for conflict management, case management, and collaborating with team members.
- Experience working with people with disabilities, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, or hospice care is advantageous.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
