Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with skill and consistency, ensuring quality standards are met at all times
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Handle food with care, demonstrating excellent knife skills and food handling techniques during meal preparation
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal requirements
- Skilled in knife handling, meal preparation, and culinary techniques used in fine dining environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting colleagues
- Prior experience in catering or large-scale food service is advantageous
