Gem State Staffing is now hiring Truss Builders & Stackers for a leading manufacturer of high-quality roof and floor trusses used in residential and commercial construction. These are temp-to-hire positions in a fast-paced production environment offering weekly pay, benefits, and career growth.
Truss Builers Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble trusses using blueprints and tools.
- Hammer gussets and plates into place.
- Operate saws, pneumatic nail guns, and roller machines.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure trusses meet specifications.
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Work as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Truss Stacker Responsibilities:
- Stack completed roof and floor trusses according to job specifications.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure trusses meet company standards.
- Build safe and organized loads for delivery trucks.
- Keep production rollers clear and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with team members.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform routine equipment care and housekeeping.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to safely use basic hand tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and excellent work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Safety-minded with strong attention to detail.
- Previous manufacturing, lumber, carpentry, warehouse, or construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
