Duties
- Develop comprehensive outreach strategies that align with organizational goals and community needs
- Manage volunteer programs by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers
- Lead public speaking engagements at community events, schools, and partner organizations to raise awareness about our programs
- Coordinate and supervise youth programs and social services aimed at underserved populations
- Oversee program development efforts including curriculum creation, activity planning, and resource allocation
- Utilize marketing skills to promote initiatives through social media management, newsletters, and local media outlets
- Collect data on outreach activities to evaluate effectiveness and inform future planning
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and local government agencies
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by maintaining CPR certification and adhering to public health guidelines
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling events, maintaining records, and preparing reports
Experience
- Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams in community settings
- Demonstrated success in public speaking and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
- Background in program development within social work, public health, or youth education fields
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience in marketing or social media management to effectively promote programs
- Knowledge of data collection methods for program evaluation and reporting purposes
- Familiarity with addiction counseling or working with individuals from underserved communities is a plus
- Leadership experience in organizing youth or community programs with a focus on social impact
- Excellent writing skills for creating compelling content for outreach materials and reports
- Technical proficiency in common software tools for organization and communication purposes
- Organizational skills necessary for managing schedules, volunteers, and resources efficiently
- Experience in fundraising or grant writing is desirable but not required
