Job Summary
Bob-Boyd Auto Family is seeking an Experienced Service Advisor to join our team. This position combines the day-to-day responsibilities of a Service Advisor with select Assistant Service Manager duties. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while supporting the overall operations of the service department. We are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated, organized, and eager to grow within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and discuss their vehicle service and maintenance needs.
- Communicate service recommendations clearly and professionally.
- Prepare estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
- Follow up with customers regarding service appointments and recommendations.
- Assist customers in understanding maintenance needs and available service options.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with daily service lane operations and workflow management.
- Support the Service Manager in maintaining an efficient and productive service department.
- Help coordinate technician workloads and monitor repair status updates.
- Provide leadership and assistance to team members as needed.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Help maintain departmental processes and ensure positive customer experience throughout the service visit.
- Step into additional service department responsibilities when needed to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and develop automotive service knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the automotive repair industry.
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
- Service writing experience.
- Familiarity with tires, brakes, suspension components, and routine vehicle maintenance.
- Experience recommending products or services based on customer needs.
