Help Build the Future of Independence
A little over a year ago, I set out to solve a problem that was deeply personal to me.
I'm the mom of an incredible teenage son with autism. Like many families, we spent years searching for tools that could truly help him become more independent. We found pieces of what we needed, but never one place that brought everything together in a way that felt practical, encouraging, and supportive.
So I decided to build it.
I had no background in technology. Just a clear vision of what I wished existed—not only for my son, but for so many other individuals and families navigating similar journeys.
That vision became Adaptalyfe.
Today, Adaptalyfe helps caregivers organize routines, schedules, goals, finances, health information, and the everyday details that support independence.
But I believe we're only getting started.
We're now building the next chapter of Adaptalyfe— and I'm looking for someone who wants to help bring that vision to the people who need it most.
About the Role
This isn't a traditional sales position.
It's about building relationships.
You'll spend your time connecting with occupational therapists, educators, transition coordinators, autism organizations, families, and other professionals who share a passion for helping people become more independent.
You'll introduce them to Adaptalyfe, learn from their experiences, gather their ideas, and help us continue building a product that truly reflects the needs of the community.
You'll be one of the very first people representing Adaptalyfe, which means your voice, your relationships, and your feedback will directly influence where we go next.
Who I Think You'll Be
You're someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people.
You listen well.
You follow through.
People trust you because you're authentic, not because you're trying to sell them something.
You believe that relationships matter.
You care about helping others, and you want your work to have purpose.
Maybe you're a parent.
Maybe you've worked in special education.
Maybe you're an occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, teacher, case manager, advocate, or someone who's spent time supporting individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
Or maybe your path has been different, but this mission simply speaks to you.
The most important qualification isn't a particular job title.
It's believing that every person deserves the opportunity to become as independent as possible.
What You'll Do
- Build meaningful relationships with professionals, organizations, and families.
- Represent Adaptalyfe with warmth, honesty, and curiosity.
- Attend community events, conferences, and local outreach opportunities when appropriate.
- Stay in touch with the people you meet and help nurture those relationships over time.
- Gather feedback and ideas that will help shape the future of Adaptalyfe.
- Help grow a community around a shared vision of supported independence.
What We Offer
- Flexible, part-time schedule
- Primarily remote work
- Hourly pay with performance bonuses
- The opportunity to grow alongside an early-stage company
- Meaningful work that has the potential to improve the lives of thousands of families
A Final Thought
If you're looking for a job where you'll simply check boxes and move on to the next task, this probably isn't the right fit.
But if you're excited by the idea of helping build something from the very beginning—something that could genuinely make everyday life a little easier for autistic teens, adults, and the people who support them—I would truly love to hear from you.
We'd Love to Meet You
If this role feels like the kind of work you've been looking for, I'd love to hear from you.
I look forward to hearing your story!
