Position Purpose:
The Associate Material Planner Temp is responsible for ensuring assigned packaging materials are globally purchased at the most cost-effective price without compromising quality or the internal/external customer’s timelines. This entails executing approved procurement plans and monitoring stock levels to maintain optimal inventory preventing shortages or overstocks. This position also assists in supplying fiscal budgeting information such as material forecasts and appropriate inventory levels to support productions requirements.
This is a hybrid role that requires three days per week in our Stratham, NH corporate office.
Key Responsibilities
Expedite materials from vendors to meet the short- and long-term production schedules. Update MRP system with correct delivery dates and quantities of materials.
Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate vendor related quality claims/issues for materials in a timely manner.
Monitor stock levels, maintain optimal inventory, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Track material flow, analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and prepare reports on stock levels and production needs.
Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance team to align on material availability with operational requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
Excel reporting and data analytics a must.
Supplier management and communication skills.
Planning, forecasting and inventory management skills a plus.
Systems experience (SAP / IBP) a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
APICs certification such as CPIM or CSCP a plus.
Total Rewards:
Hourly Rate: $26 - $34 an hour
