EDU-AIDS is seeking a qualified Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist to provide part-time services for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a small caseload of students, helping them develop the orientation and mobility skills needed to safely and confidently access their school and community environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct orientation and mobility evaluations to determine students' functional travel needs.
- Develop and implement individualized Orientation & Mobility goals as part of students' IEPs.
- Provide direct instruction in safe travel techniques, environmental awareness, and independent mobility skills.
- Teach students to effectively use mobility aids and adaptive equipment when appropriate.
- Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), special education staff, families, and related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding orientation and mobility services.
- Maintain accurate service logs, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Orientation & Mobility Specialist certification.
- Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) Pupil Services License/Certificate for Orientation & Mobility Specialist
- Previous experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired in educational settings is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary educational team.
