JOB The City of South Lake Tahoe Police Department is seeking a seasonal Bicycle Officer to support increased summer public safety operations throughout the community. This position is a fully sworn peace officer role assigned to bicycle patrol during the summer season, with responsibility for proactive law enforcement, high-visibility patrol, community engagement, traffic and pedestrian safety, ordinance enforcement, and rapid response in areas with heavy seasonal activity. The ideal candidate is an experienced law enforcement professional who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain positive public contact while patrolling bike paths and high-traffic locations.
