As a member of the Semiconductor Robot Engineering team in San Jose, CA, the Robotics Application Engineer leads the activity of developing, testing and maintaining robotic products for semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities Include:

Respond to customer’s request on semiconductor robot application.

Lead the activity of prototype design projects following project process. Provide guidance to mechanical design team, electrical team, software team and prototype team to complete robot application within committed timeline.

Create CAD drawings, 3D models and engineering documents to meet customer’s expectations.

Provide technical guidance on robot system issues.
-
Provide field support on customer’s site, including domestic or oversea travels.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Minimum 4 year college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software.

Knowledge of automation system, including the theory of operation, key components, major failure mode.

Knowledge of basic programming logic.
-
Strong verbal and written communications skills - ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts in form of presentation.

Be able to understand and implement new engineering concept in short period of time.

Be able to manage multiple task/projects during same period of time.

Knowledge of MS office (word, excel, power point).

1~3 year experience of engineering position in automation or semiconductor industry.
Preferred Qualifications:

3~5 year experience of engineering position in automation or semiconductor industry.

Experience using AutoCAD software

Experience using NX software
Physical Requirements:

Ability to carry, lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 25lbs and to bend, walk and stand with objects weighing up to 25Ibs

Ability to use common mechanical tools such as screw drivers, hex keys, torque wrenches.
