Implements overall program control for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) at Water Utilities through application of systems and methods for cost control, planning, reporting, progress measurement, schedule development/control, resource loading, and management of change. Liaises among Project Managers, and Division and Department heads. Performs entry-level engineering work in the coordination of capital water and sewer projects. Manages engineering plans, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and permitting of water utilities projects. Receives assignments in specific or general terms. Exercises independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in developing work methods to ensure development coordination, productivity improvement, and program control.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering,
OR
A related Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of one (1) year of experience in project coordination, including developing, monitoring, and controlling projects/programs,
OR
An unrelated Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of two (2) years of experience in project coordination, including developing, monitoring, and controlling projects/programs,
OR
A related Associate’s Degree; minimum of three (3) years of experience in project coordination, including developing, monitoring, and controlling projects/programs,
OR
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience in project coordination, including developing, monitoring, and controlling projects/programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in project or program control/management for a public utility or engineering/construction firm,
- Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project, Schedule Analyzer, Tableau, AutoCAD, Microsoft Package, and PDF.
