The Poly Crew Operator is a specialized field technician responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of critical equipment used in polyurea coatings and surface preparation. This includes spray rigs, proportioners, abrasive blasting systems, and related tools. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in demanding jobsite conditions. Operators work under the direction of the Crew Lead or Senior Specialist and are trusted with safely executing key stages of ACP's field coating processes.
Poly Crew Operator Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Operate polyurea spray systems, proportioners, heated hoses, and related delivery equipment.
· Set up and monitor abrasive blasting equipment and media flow for surface profiling.
· Maintain pressure and temperature readings within manufacturer specifications.
· Assist in troubleshooting rig malfunctions and perform minor on-site repairs.
· Coordinate with Crew Leads or Senior Specialists on equipment staging and site setup.
· Conduct basic maintenance such as flushing, cleaning, and hose inspection.
· Follow scope of work and site plans as it relates to rig layout, containment, and safety.
· Load, unload, and transport spray equipment and materials as directed.
· Complete pre- and post-operation checks for safety and function.
· Follow all PPE requirements and safety procedures per jobsite and OSHA standards.
· Assist with manual prep tasks such as masking, ventilation setup, or cleanup when needed.
· Report equipment status, issues, and material use to supervisor.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Poly Crew Operator Core Competencies:

Appropriately trained and/or certified to assist with polyurea spray systems, abrasive blasting rigs, and surface preparation tools required for ACP Poly division projects. Performs routine inspections and maintenance with minimal guidance. Seeks hands-on learning from Poly Senior Specialist.
· Quality Control
Monitors equipment performance and application consistency. Identifies and reports irregularities or issues to ensure coating quality and project success. Supports the team in achieving quality standards for application and surface protection.
Poly Crew Operator Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid TX driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be minimum 18 years of age.
- Read and speak some English.
- Must be Honest, Responsible, Trustworthy and Hard-working
- Must be able to pass background and pre-employment drug test.
Physical Demands:
- Requires strenuous physical work including heavy lifting, working on hands/knees, pushing, or pulling objects and working in certain dust conditions.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
· Must be comfortable working in protective gear (respirators, gloves, goggles) for extended periods.
· May be exposed to loud noise, abrasive materials, high-pressure spray equipment, and industrial chemicals.
Job Type: Full-time
· 30-40 Hours per week depending on workload.
· Bi-Weekly pay cycle based on 4 week working week cycle.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Abrasive Blasting or Coatings Applications: 1 year (Required)
- General Construction: 2 years (Required)
- Spray Equipment Operation: 1-2 years (Required)

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
