Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Writer/Estimator to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair/estimating/parts knowledge, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and technicians alike. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of quality in automotive care.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs, providing clear explanations of services required.
- Create detailed service orders, documenting customer concerns and recommended services.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Be able to write an estimate for recommended repairs.
Qualifications
- Experience with auto estimating and service writing required.
- Previous experience in auto service of no less than 3 years is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Must possess effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
Pay rage D.O.E. and is subject to increase with performance evaluation after 90 day probation period.
40 hour work week, M-F 8am to 5pm ~NO weekends! Paid day every Friday.
Uniforms are provided, 401K, after 90 day probation is up: Major holidays off with pay, vacation/sick time, health benefits, and shop discounts.
