Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech Therapist to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of various age groups, geriatrics.
- Develop and implement tailored speech-language therapy plans aligned with each patient’s unique needs and goals.
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based practices and modern technology.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), including detailed notes on assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech-language pathology best practices to enhance service quality.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a SNF as a speech language pathologist working with geriatric patients.
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across different age groups.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology cases.
- Demonstrated success collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care across settings including schools, clinics, or hospitals.
