American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute care and travel experience, with night shift and every-other-weekend availability.

Float Pool position requiring willingness to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)

Patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse responsibilities in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients

Patient ratios: up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights

Shift: nights, 19:00–07:30, 36 hours/week

Every-other-weekend requirement

1 to 3 rotations to days/evenings per contract

Performs cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, telemetry strip interpretation every 4 hours, and TR Band procedures

EMR: Epic (experience required)

Facility is a 371-bed hospital with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA only; Red Cross and other providers not accepted at this facility)

Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location required

Minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse required

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips

Ability to perform cardiac drips and manage telemetry monitoring equipment

TR Band experience required

2 professional references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours, administering cardiac drips, and floating across multiple Med/Surg Telemetry units
