Remote Geosteering Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Remote Geosteering Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real-time geosteering operations and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced drilling environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of geosteering experience required
- Experience using StarSteer software is required
- Strong understanding of directional drilling, survey management, and formation evaluation
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and make timely geosteering decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of geosteering experience
- Previous geosteering experience in the Permian Basin
- Experience working directly with operators, geologists, and drilling teams
- Familiarity with horizontal landing and lateral placement strategies
- Ability to manage multiple wells simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Monitor and steer horizontal wells in real time
- Interpret geological and drilling data to optimize well placement
- Generate and distribute timely reports to operators and other interested parties
- Communicate effectively with geologists, directional drillers, and rig personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation and quality control of geosteering interpretations
- Assist with troubleshooting and operational decision-making as needed
