We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the culinary arts. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and drinks with professionalism and care.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and explaining daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all items meet our quality standards.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, providing recommendations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that arise during service.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper sanitation practices throughout the restaurant.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of culinary terminology and food safety practices is essential.
- Proficiency in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with sales techniques to enhance guest experiences and promote menu items.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and team members effectively.
