Responsibilities of a D.A.R.E. America Event Ambassador:
- Represent our national non-profit organization at retail events, community pop-ups, and high-traffic fundraising locations across South Florida.
- Focus on customer engagement, donor enrollment, provide information to parents and students about classes and curriculum, and brand awareness.
- Work face-to-face with the public to educate individuals on charitable causes and secure ongoing donor support.
- Provide research for local partnerships with Fort Lauderdale and Miami based non-profits.
- Attend D.A.R.E. America conferences and police officer's training events.
- This is a 1099, full-time, in-person role requiring consistent availability and strong communication skills.
- New high-school graduates encouraged to apply for the summer.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage event-based fundraising stations in retail stores, community events, and local venues.
- Approach and engage customers to introduce D.A.R.E. America's campaign and curriculum.
- Study past and current history of D.A.R.E. America to be able to provide accurate information to new potential schools.
- Educate potential donors on how contributions support programs, communities, students and families.
- Guide individuals through the donation process with accuracy and professionalism.
- Provide customers tax deductible information on future donations.
- Maintain compliance with all fundraising guidelines, disclosures, and ethical standards.
- Work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced, event-driven environment as well as in an office.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet daily and weekly fundraising goals.
- Attend paid training sessions focused on communication, fundraising strategies, and campaign knowledge.
- Travel locally to different event and retail locations within the Miami area as needed.

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to approach and engage with new people confidently in public settings.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, events, hospitality, or sales is preferred.
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, and working on your feet throughout shifts.
- Transportation to and from the office is required.
- Transportation to and from scheduled events and conferences is provided.
Pay: $2,600.00 - $4,000.00 per month
