Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC Installer to join our team and deliver top-tier heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions for commercial properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Duties
- Install commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and system configuration
- Perform electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, welding, and mechanical repairs necessary for system operation
- Conduct system start-up procedures, testing, and commissioning to verify proper functioning
- Troubleshoot issues related to HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic software; perform repairs as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, service reports, and system modifications
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including EPA standards for refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration handling
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC installation or related mechanical systems
- Service technician experience in HVAC or refrigeration fields preferred
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems integration
- Familiarity with refrigerants including ammonia refrigeration; EPA certification required
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, pumps, valves, and property maintenance systems
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- Experience with equipment repair in commercial settings; field service background highly desirable
- Knowledge of HVAC/R standards including electrical safety protocols and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining high safety standards
