Position Title: Dance Teacher (KPOP Dance Cover Class)

Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled K-POP Dance Cover Class Teacher to lead dynamic, high-energy classes for students of varying ages and skill levels after school varying hours from 2-6PM. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for K-POP choreography and performance, enjoys working with youth, and is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
This role focuses on teaching authentic K-POP dance cover choreography, emphasizing musicality, synchronization, stage presence, and performance quality inspired by current K-POP artists and trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Teach K-POP dance cover choreography and foundational dance techniques in an age-appropriate, engaging manner
· Must be available to teach after school program from 2-6 PM
· Plan and lead structured classes that include warm-ups, technique training, choreography instruction, and cool-downs
· Introduce students to popular K-POP routines, artists, and performance styles while encouraging creativity and individual expression
· Emphasize performance elements such as musicality, precision, formations, facial expressions, and stage presence
· Prepare students for performances, showcases, or special events as needed
· Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
· Stay current with K-POP trends, and choreography styles and incorporate them into lesson plans
· Communicate regularly with program staff regarding class progress and student development
· Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
· Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe learning space at all times
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
· Prior experience teaching dance to youth or in a group setting
· Strong background in K-POP dance
· Experience learning, teaching, or performing K-POP dance covers
· Ability to engage, inspire, and manage a classroom effectively
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Reliable, punctual, and professional
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
· CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but not required)
Preferred:
· Experience working in after-school programs, schools, or community centers
· Choreography experience for student performances
· Bilingual abilities (depending on community needs)
Background check clearance (required)
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.0 – 10.0 per week
