Position Overview:
As a Tasting Room Associate, you'll be the face of Augustino Estate, embodying our motto, "Come as friends, leave as family." This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about wine, loves interacting with people, and is eager to grow within the vibrant wine industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wine tastings, ensuring each guest's experience is both educational and delightful.
- Provide detailed information about our wines, sharing the unique story of our vineyard and varietals.
- Handle sales transactions with precision and care.
- Maintain the presentation and ambiance of our tasting venues, ensuring they reflect the beauty and standards of Augustino Estate.
- Lift and maneuver up to 40 pounds and navigate areas involving stairs.
- Conduct light travel to and from local events to represent Augustino when applicable.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, with a preference for those with winery serving experience.
- A passion for wine and an eagerness to learn about winemaking processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.
- Proficiency in handling POS systems.
- Ability to work as part of a dedicated team, embodying the spirit of community and family.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an OLCC serving permit before the first shift.
