Why Join 4Dock?
4Dock (www.4dock.com) is a growing B2B supplier of industrial packaging and shipping materials — including stretch wrap, protective packaging, and warehouse supplies — serving businesses across the United States. We combine the speed and availability of a local supplier with competitive pricing and a people-first approach to customer service.
We are expanding our sales team and looking for a driven, outgoing Account Manager to represent 4Dock in the field, build lasting relationships with local businesses, and grow our customer base from the ground up.
Position Responsibilities
Field Sales & Prospecting
- Spend the majority of your week in the field — visiting local warehouses, manufacturers, moving companies, logistics firms, and other B2B businesses to introduce 4Dock and generate new accounts.
- Proactively prospect new customers through door-to-door canvassing, cold outreach, referrals, and networking within your assigned territory.
- Conduct in-person meetings and on-site visits with both new prospects and existing customers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
- Schedule and plan weekly visit routes to maximize territory coverage and customer touchpoints.
Account Management & Growth
- Manage and grow a portfolio of active customer accounts, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, and operations managers at client businesses.
- Act as a trusted advisor — understand each client's operational needs and proactively recommend the right products and quantities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on orders, deliveries, and any product concerns in a timely manner.
Sales Strategy & Reporting
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets; track and report on pipeline activity, new accounts opened, and revenue generated.
- Create effective business solutions for customers using 4Dock's product catalog, including stretch wrap, packaging, and related supplies.
- Relay market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to management to inform product and pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with internal operations and support teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean and safe driving record; reliable personal vehicle required for field visits.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to confidently present to and negotiate with business decision-makers.
- Strong interpersonal skills — you are outgoing, persistent, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people and building relationships.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with frequent local travel throughout the Ontario, CA area and surrounding Inland Empire/Southern California territory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of outside sales, territory sales, or customer-facing B2B sales experience.
- Prior experience selling packaging, industrial supplies, logistics services, or similar product categories a strong plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales reporting.
