Rural Health Transformation Program - College of Medicine

Florida State University’s College of Medicine has been awarded more than $19 million through the Rural Health Transformation Program to strengthen healthcare access and outcomes in rural Florida. The funding will support six new projects focused on critical needs including behavioral health, preventive care, food insecurity, telehealth, at-home care and healthcare workforce development. Through partnerships with communities and healthcare organizations across Northwest and Southwest Florida, FSU is working to bring innovative, practical solutions directly to rural communities and help close longstanding gaps in care.

Responsibilities

Manage program operations and partnerships: Oversee Rural Health Transformation Program Bundle 2 Southwest operations, deliverables, and coordination with internal and external partners. Serve as the FSU liaison with consortium partners and work closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and program leadership to achieve program goals.
Monitor program performance and compliance: Track and communicate quarterly and annual program and financial performance measures. Monitor program activities for compliance with university, regulatory, and funding requirements and provide guidance to PIs on behavioral health and clinical regulatory matters.
Coordinate data and reporting: Work with partners to collect and manage program data and information. Develop and maintain participant and data management systems and assist with data analysis, interpretation, summaries, and reports for the Agency for Health Care Administration and consortium partners.
Coordinate training and personnel: Support partner site onboarding and training in collaboration with PIs, including planning, scheduling, and tracking behavioral health training activities. Supervise volunteers and student research personnel.
Lead community engagement and communication: Engage rural communities and develop strategies to promote transparency, communication, and participation in the program. Develop and manage outreach materials, including infographics, website content, social media, and other communication resources.
Strengthen collaboration and information sharing: Build connections across community, institutional, and partner networks to improve two-way communication and access to information and resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to health and human services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Reliable transportation, and a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

This position will be supporting Specialty & Acute Care Bundle 2 - Southwest region, which is defined as Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Lee, Manatee, Okeechobee, and Sarasota on the Rural Health Transformation Program Map.

This position requires regular travel in support of program activities and responsibilities. Travel may occur within the employee’s assigned region and throughout the State of Florida, as needed. The frequency and location of travel may vary based on programmatic and operational needs.
