Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer with a strong focus on FPGA Verification and UVM to support advanced research and development (R&D) programs.
- In this role, you will contribute to the design, verification, integration, and testing of high-speed digital systems implemented on FPGA platforms.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in FPGA verification, UVM, DSP, high-speed digital design, SoC development, and embedded processors, while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop next-generation aerospace and defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, verify, and integrate ASIC and FPGA solutions for advanced R&D programs.
- Develop comprehensive FPGA verification environments using UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).
- Create simulation testbenches and execute functional, timing, and regression testing.
- Develop and integrate FPGA implementations supporting:
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- High-speed digital designs
- High-speed communication interfaces
- System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures
- Support FPGA implementation, validation, integration, and system-level testing.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve FPGA development and verification efficiency.
- Work with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) control platforms and embedded processors implemented on FPGA devices.
- Collaborate closely with Systems Architects, RF Engineers, Analog Engineers, Digital Hardware Engineers, and ASIC/FPGA development teams.
- Support the design, simulation, verification, integration, and testing of complex high-speed digital systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to new technology development supporting future aerospace and defense programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience in ASIC and FPGA development and verification.
- Strong experience with FPGA Verification using Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Experience with FPGA simulation, verification, and validation.
- Experience developing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications on FPGA platforms.
- Experience with System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and communication interfaces.
- Experience integrating embedded processors on FPGA platforms.
- Experience with FPGA integration and laboratory testing.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles and verification methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) control platforms.
- Experience developing automation scripts to improve FPGA design and verification workflows.
- Experience supporting research and development (R&D) programs.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
