Are you a driven sales professional who loves the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of growing long-term relationships? We’re looking for a high-impact Technical Account Manager who can both win new business and expand existing accounts.
In this role, you won’t just manage accounts—you’ll own them. You’ll actively prospect, identify new opportunities, and partner with outside sales teams to close deals, while also serving as the trusted advisor who ensures customers see ongoing value. From first contact to full production and beyond, you’ll lead every step of the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Project Management
- Own and manage all activities related to assigned customer accounts throughout the product lifecycle
- Coordinate cross-functional workflows between internal departments, customers, and outside sales representatives
- Ensure timely communication, execution, and delivery of all customer-related projects
Research, Prospecting & Target Marketing
- Assist in identifying new products, markets, applications, and customers
- Support development of marketing plans and target account strategies using web-based tools and data sources
Advertising & Promotion
- Collaborate with Sales Management to develop presentations and promotional materials
- Contribute to web content, product literature, and customer-facing materials
Costing, Pricing & Quoting
- Develop cost models and pricing proposals for assigned accounts
- Manage the full quoting process, including submission, follow-up, and customer feedback
Order & Contract Management
- Oversee contract review, order processing, and fulfillment activities
- Maintain backlog visibility to support production planning and customer delivery timelines
Outside Sales Support
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and outside sales representatives
- Ensure timely response to inquiries and support revenue growth initiatives
Quality & Compliance
- Support ISO processes, documentation, and internal audits
- Maintain awareness of company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical field)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or sales processes
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with or for a manufacturer of technical products
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Proven leadership, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Knowledge of electrical motors or general electronics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong alignment with company core values and goals
