The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a knowledgeable, polished, and service-oriented Part-Time Concierge to join our Guest Services team. This position plays a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences by providing personalized recommendations, anticipating guest needs, and delivering seamless service from arrival through departure. Key Requirements

Availability: Must have open availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, with shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
- Licensing: Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Experience: Previous concierge, guest services, front desk, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor and excellent phone etiquette.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Richmond's restaurants, attractions, entertainment, transportation, and events, or the ability to quickly develop expert-level familiarity.
- Service Excellence: Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to multitask while managing multiple guest requests.
Duties & Responsibilities

Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and personalized service.
- Provide recommendations and coordinate reservations for restaurants, entertainment, transportation, tours, spa appointments, floral arrangements, and other guest experiences.
- Research unique guest requests and develop thoughtful, customized solutions that exceed expectations.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, ensuring consistent follow-through and timely resolution of requests.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel accommodations, dining outlets, amenities, events, and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, attractions, and hospitality partners to enhance guest recommendations.
- Coordinate with Front Desk, Bell Services, Valet, Housekeeping, Engineering, Room Service, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Answer incoming calls, assist with guest inquiries, support reservations, and provide PBX coverage as needed.
- Assist with luggage storage and other Guest Services responsibilities during peak business periods.
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked Concierge Desk with current brochures, maps, and promotional materials.
- Accurately document guest preferences and requests while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the Guest Services team to anticipate guest needs and ensure exceptional service throughout the hotel.
Qualifications

Previous experience in luxury hospitality, concierge services, guest relations, or customer service preferred.
- Excellent organizational, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally assist with luggage.
