Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to evaluate collision impact and identify necessary repairs using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software.
- Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and insurance requirements.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and transparency.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claim approvals and streamline the repair process.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the collision repair cycle.
- Upsell additional services such as mechanical repairs, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacements, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, transmissions, and other automotive diagnostics when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all estimates, customer interactions, and repair orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist in managing parts procurement and inventory control related to collision repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through the repair process from estimate to vehicle pickup.
Experience
- Proven experience in auto service management or collision estimating within a dealership or independent shop environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided estimating software is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to perform auto body repair assessments involving transmissions, oil changes, alignment, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts replacement, brake systems, air brake systems, and other automotive repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with sales acumen for upselling additional services confidently.
- Prior dealership experience or extensive auto estimating background highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed.
- Knowledge of insurance claim processes and cash handling procedures is advantageous.

Pay: $63,537.09 - $76,517.78 per year
