Dietitian, RN, or Nutritionist
Full-Time-- 5 days, 37.5 hrs/week
Registered Dietician or Registration eligible, bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Nutrition Sciences, Registered Nurse, or a graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s program in a health-related field which includes a study in nutrition.
In this role you will be responsible for assessing nutritional status, providing nutrition education, and breastfeeding support to women, infants, and children.
The WIC Nutritionist serves as a WIC Competent Professional Authority (CPA) and is responsible for developing and providing nutrition education and complete certification, as well as high-risk counseling to women, infants, and children in accordance with Western Indiana Community Action Agency, Inc. and the WIC Program policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
- Must have documented ability to:
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- Meet and work well with the public.
- Operate office equipment, including but not limited to copy machines, fax machines, calculators, etc.
- Operate PC with working knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, and related program software.
- Display an ability to learn and utilize new/custom software applications as required.
- Work well with and without supervision, and with other staff.
Limited criminal history background check, and drug screen
Access to reliable transportation, possess a valid driver’s license, liability insurance, and a willingness to use personal transportation in performing the responsibilities of the position, as well as traveling inside and outside of the Agency service area.
