Duties
- Perform veterinarian-prescribed rehabilitation therapies, including underwater treadmill, laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, and massage.
- Monitor patient progress, vital signs, treatment responses, and behavior while maintaining accurate medical records.
- Assist with radiographs by safely positioning animals and following radiation safety protocols.
- Demonstrate strong animal handling, husbandry, and patient-care skills.
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection, processing, and basic diagnostics.
- Communicate patient observations and treatment progress with veterinarians and rehabilitation staff.
Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience especially in Rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and animal physiology is essential for accurate support of treatment plans.
- Strong dog handling skills combined with animal restraint expertise are necessary for safe patient management.
- Experience with aseptic techniques, x-ray procedures, and laboratory tasks.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for veterinary medicine will help you thrive in this energetic environment.
