Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems, including fiber optic cables and low voltage wiring
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to facilitate cable drops and infrastructure setup
- Use hand tools and construction equipment to perform cabling, splicing, and routing tasks according to schematics and technical specifications
- Climb ladders or structures safely while following safety protocols to access work sites at various heights
- Support team members in reading and interpreting network schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Conduct basic testing of network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet connections, WAN (Wide Area Network), and telephony systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including diagrams, logs, and reports
Requirements
- Previous experience or interest in field service work, construction, or electrical systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, bucket trucks, and other heavy equipment safely
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN, Ethernet, WAN, and low voltage wiring
- Strong climbing skills with comfort working at heights using ladders or scaffolding
- Knowledge of schematics and ability to follow technical instructions precisely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred for operating bucket trucks or company vehicles
