Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for precision machining, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines including DMG, Makino and Okuma lathes and milling centers, ensuring accurate and efficient production of parts.
- Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and preparing workpieces according to specifications.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools for quality control purposes.
- Conduct machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications through CNC quality inspection techniques and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols related to machine operation and handling power tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during machine setup, tooling selection, and process improvements following lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as lathes, mills, or CNC milling machines with Fanuc or similar controls.
