Our success is based on the client's vision coming to life and includes a team of Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, and support staff who play a part in solving complex design problems. We are seeking Mid to Senior Project Architects who will add their skills and creativity to our diverse projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Executing the overarching construction phases of projects per the Browning Day standards.
- Develops and presents technical viewpoints on projects with clients.
- Serves as subject matter expert on specialized systems or industries.
- Oversee the construction administration phase, responding to RFIs, ASIs, shop drawings, field site reviews, and reports.
- Lead project teams throughout construction documents, construction administration, and site visits.
- Select and specify appropriate materials and associated details.
- Coordinate the project quality, schedule, and performance with the other disciplines.
- Responsible for maintaining positive client relationships throughout the project.
- Advise the Project Manager on schedule and consultants.
- Coordinate programming efforts, including information gathering, site analysis, and site inventory of existing conditions, identifying opportunities and constraints.
- Coordinate project schedules and budgeted hours on assigned scope of projects.
- Coordination of consultants, sub-consultants, other disciplines, and contractors.
- Correspond with internal staff, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines.
- Assists with documentation and timely distribution of all meeting notes.
- Promotes innovative concepts that are practical, aesthetically pleasing, safe, code-compliant, and meet the intended purpose of the project.
- Incorporates and considers sustainable design solutions into all projects.
- Impacts all phases of design, documentation, specifications, and construction administration.
- Implements the QA/QC comments and reviews at each phase of the project.
- Instrumental in the construction administration phase, responding to RFI’s, ASI’s, and shop drawings, and is involved in field site reviews and reports.
- Mentoring and partnering with the Project Managers and/or HR on performance and training needs of project teams
- Participating in selected marketing and business development opportunities, including preparing and conducting client presentations
- Implements Browning Day standards for all project deliverables and processes.
- Support project teams in all stages of the project from planning and concept design to construction documents and site visits

- Proficient-to-advanced knowledge of the following:
- Design techniques, tools, and principles in producing technical plans, drawings, and models; and
- Construction methodology and material application
- Zoning, codes, ADA/FHA/accessibility requirements, and applicable codes about site design considerations.
- Proficient-to-advanced experience in the following:

MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- Scheduling software (Team Gantt);
- Sketchup, Revit, AutoCAD(bonus), and 3D rendering software (Lumion);
- Online project management software.
- Preferred: 10+ years of professional experience in architecture.
- Preferred: A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: Licensed Architect (or complete within an agreed-upon timeline)
- Satisfactory completion of background screening.
