Regional Sales Manager & Merchandiser – Outside Sales

About the Role
Join Weruva, a leading pet food brand, as a Regional Sales Manager & Merchandiser. In this dynamic role, you’ll drive growth across your territory by building strong relationships with retailers, introducing new products, and ensuring optimal merchandising. This position combines outside sales, education, and marketing support to help our partners succeed while promoting healthier pet nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Merchandising
- Introduce and close sales of new products with existing and prospective customers.
- Generate and process sales orders.
- Ensure products are merchandised and positioned for maximum visibility and impact.
- Customer Education
- Conduct seminars and presentations on pet health and nutrition.
- Train retailers on effective sales strategies and marketing tools.
- Territory Management
- Maintain and grow customer relationships through regular in-person visits.
- Collaborate with distribution partners and internal sales teams.
- Budget & Reporting
- Operate within an assigned sales budget.
- Provide timely reports on sales activities and territory performance.
- Travel
- Overnight travel is required and estimated at 30-40%
- Attend annual sales meetings and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications
Required:
· Must reside in the territory
- 5+ years of retail or customer-facing experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, CRM tools, iPad, and mobile technology.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Reliable, well-maintained vehicle for travel.
Preferred:
- Experience in outside sales or the pet industry.
- Comfortable with public speaking and delivering educational seminars.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
