We have full time and part time openings available for an enthusiastic, mature person to fill a veterinary assistant or technician position in a predominately small animal hospital, practicing progressive medicine with great clientele.
The successful candidate must work well with others, be a self starter, dependable and have excellent client communication skills. 2 years of veterinary experience is preferred.
Job requirements/Skills/Physical Demands
- Regularly stand for extended periods
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 40#
- maintain client patient files
- Assist veterinarian or technician in medical procedures using proper restraint
- Maintain and use medical and laboratory equipment
- Administer treatment and medication following doctor instructions
- Review vaccination records and prepare vaccines
- Take vital signs of pets including temperature, pulse and respiration
- Clean up afteranimals both insideand outside the facility, clean runs and cages as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
