Job Summary:
The Intensive Outpatient Program manager is responsible for oversite of the day to day operation of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs. Additionally, he/she is expected to function well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the unit community relations program.
Functions and Duties:

Provides oversite and clinical supervision of staff.

Provides departmental orientation with new staff.

Supervision of daily client treatment and care.

Represents OP BH by participating on community and hospital committees as an expert in the mental health field.

Assists with the development and implementation of program goals.

Ensures appropriate documentation of services rendered according to the Program design and regulatory standards.

Monitors program integrity through the appropriate staff credential and educational competencies.
-
Monitors and assures Outpatient Program components meet client and community goals and Regulatory compliance.

Assists with development of written policies related to regulatory standards.
-
Participate and promote activities regarding Process Improvement.

Completes monthly chart audits.
-
Submits quality improvement data to Director on a monthly basis.

Possess knowledge of various psychiatric diagnosis cared for in the OP.

Monitors accuracy of billing procedures OP Services.
-
Conducts safety rounds to identify problems and requests corrections via work orders, as appropriate.

Establishes collaborative relationship with physicians and other members of the health care team.

Conducts group therapy sessions as assigned.

Provides leadership for group sessions and documents client participation and daily progress.
-
Provides one-on-one sessions with client as appropriate and documents accordingly.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
-
Master’s Degree social work, psychology, social science or related fields form an accredited college or university required.
Experience
-
3-5 years behavioral health outpatient supervisory experience required.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
-
LCSW, LCPC, Licensure in social service field required.
-
BLS Certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.
-
De-Escalation and restraint training certification obtained within 6 months of hire is required.
Skills and Abilities
-
Knowledge of counseling theory, crisis interventions, individual, family, and group therapy modalities.

Knowledge of the DSM5 and the State of Illinois mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgement and initiative.

Requires a concentrated level of attention with a High level of organizational skill.

Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, visitors, and organization personnel and perform in a positive, courteous, flexible, an adaptive manner.

Familiarity with Joint Commission standards.

Familiarity with billing process and authorization management.
-
Ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e. copier, facsimile machine, 10-key, etc.); personal. computer and printer and specific computer software.
Physical Demands:

Sit or stand for a prolonged period of time.

Regular working with and viewing of computer screens.

Ability to lift up to, but not limited to 25 pounds.

Requires bending, stooping, and walking.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (mask, gown, gloves) when required
