Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring reliability, security, and performance across all technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and related cloud services.
- Oversee virtualization infrastructure (Hyper-V), including provisioning, performance monitoring, and resource management.
- Support networking systems including switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, and network monitoring platforms.
- Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring reliable restore and business continuity capabilities.
- Monitor system performance, availability, patching, and security posture using modern tools and best practices.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated issues, assisting users, troubleshooting complex problems, and creating documentation.
- Manage endpoint lifecycle: imaging, deployment, updates, configuration management, and security hardening (including SCCM and Intune).
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including identity management, MFA, conditional access, vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and oversight of door access control systems and NVR security platforms.
- Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, infrastructure refreshes, cloud migrations, and process improvements.
- Maintain documentation for systems, workflows, and procedures.
Skills
- Hands‑on experience in systems administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure AD (Entra ID).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V).
- Comfort managing enterprise firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPN setups, and RDS environments.
- Proficiency with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell strongly preferred).
- Experience with backup systems and reliable on‑prem storage solutions such as SANs.
- Understanding of security best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, patching, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities, including familiarity with AI‑assisted administrative tools.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, or similar.
- Knowledge of Linux systems (basic administration).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and on‑prem systems including SQL Server and IIS.
- Experience managing SAN environments.
- Familiarity with AI‑driven monitoring or automation tools.
- Understanding of hybrid identity, conditional access, and Zero Trust principles.
- Exposure to SQL Server administration or database concepts.
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or M365 Administrator
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Relevant virtualization credentials
