Pay Range: $24.00/hour
Status: Full-Time
Location: South, YWCA Minneapolis
What You’ll Do
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a high-quality, nurturing, anti-bias, developmentally appropriate classroom environment. You will provide leadership within the classroom team and ensure strong care, communication, and developmental support for children.

Develop and implement theme-based curriculum aligned with YWCA’s Anti-Bias Curriculum
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment
- Assess, document, and communicate children’s developmental progress
Core Competencies

Early Childhood Education & Development: Ability to support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development using best practices
- Leadership & Collaboration: Experience guiding classroom staff and serving as a role model and mentor
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with families, staff, and stakeholders

Qualifications
Required:

Minimum of one year experience in Early Childhood Education
- Meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 Teacher qualifications, including required in-service hours
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred:

AA or BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Ability to speak a second language (helpful, but not required)
