A bit about us:
-
What would your workday feel like if you did not have to fight administration for time, resources, or support?
This school-based Orientation and MOur Clientlity Specialist opportunity offers something increasingly difficult to find: meaningful work without a burnout culture.
You will help students ages 3–21 who are blind or visually impaired develop the confidence, safety, and independence to navigate their school, community, and daily lives. You will have the resources, flexibility, and leadership support to do the work the way you were trained—not according to a rigid corporate or Department of Education mold.
Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The school will consider someone available as little as two days per week.
Why join us?
-
This is not a fee-for-service environment. Your day is not controlled by billing pressure or an endless productivity clock.
Most disciplines average approximately 10 sessions per day or 50 per week, but Orientation and MOur Clientlity sessions may run 45–60 minutes, so caseload expectations are adjusted accordingly.
The culture is supportive, flexible, compassionate, and family-oriented.
You are trusted to use your professional judgment and shape how you work.
Your voice is heard, your work is respected, and you are not expected to fit into a predetermined mold.
Leadership is transparent and gives employees grace when life happens.
A first-year mentor is guaranteed, so you will have support while learning the students, systems, and school.
Professional-development resources and CEU opportunities are available.
The school participates in a state retirement plan and offers a 403(b).
Tuition reimbursement is available, with the final annual amount being confirmed.
Healthcare benefits are available for eligible employees.
One leader on the team previously worked for the DOE five minutes from home and earned more money—but chose this school because, in her words, “peace is priceless.” The difference in support, resources, flexibility, and respect was like night and day.
