Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in St. Louis, Missouri, just north of Arnold.
- Schedule: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday – Friday, OT opportunities available
- Pay: $30-$36 per hour (compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications)

As a 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist, you will play a key role in manufacturing complex, high-precision components for the aerospace and defense industry. Your ability to produce quality parts with accuracy and consistency will directly contribute to our reputation for excellence and our commitment to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Working with advanced CNC equipment, you will help ensure every component meets customer specifications while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Verify tooling, fixtures, offsets, and machine setups prior to production.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required.
- Monitor tool wear and make necessary offset adjustments.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues.
- Work closely with programmers, quality personnel, and production leadership.
- Maintain production records and documentation.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, setup reduction, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of CNC Mill Machinist experience, including setup and operation of 5-axis CNC machining centers
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong ability to read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, tread gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Strong understanding of in-process inspection, dimensional verification, and quality documentation requirements.
- Ability to identify quality issues, troubleshooting machining, tooling, materials, or process concerns, and make appropriate adjustments.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently maintain tight tolerances throughout production.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, engineering, maintenance, and fellow team members.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, setup time, and overall process reliability.
