Job Description

Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.

Assist with the installation and repair piping/tubing; wire single and three phase motors (single & two speed); run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.

Install and rebuild pumps and motors; install and rebuild air compressors; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.

Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Documents all work in the CMMS system.

Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
-
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
-
Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
-
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
-
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
-
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
-
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
-
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
-
Experience with a CMMS system, a must
-
Previous clean room experience, GMP or ISO knowledge, desired.
-
Experience beyond construction style electrical work is a must, this could include trouble shooting of VFDs, Building automation devices like damper actuators, valve actuators and sensors.

Experience as an electromechanical technician, desired.
-
Massachusetts Journeyman or master Electrical License.

Valid Driver’s License

Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.

Must be able to speak, read and write fluent English.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

Significant walking or other means of mobility.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
