Murphy's Markets is seeking a friendly, motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Deli Clerk.
The Deli Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing, packaging, and serving a variety of deli foods. This position also helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Prepare made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, burgers, and other deli items
- Slice, weigh, package, label, and price meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and customer requests
- Stock products and keep displays fresh, organized, and properly rotated
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and service counters
- Monitor product quality and expiration dates
- Complete opening, closing, and daily department tasks as assigned
- Work cooperatively with deli team members and other departments
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous food preparation or deli experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of safe food-handling and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A friendly and respectful attitude towards customers and coworkers
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain a sense of urgency
- Dependable, punchtual, and willing to complete assigned duties
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow department procedures
Flexible hours with mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is a plus.

Schedule: Opening on weekends, Mid-Day/Closing shifts during the week
