The Tax Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, federal and state tax depreciation calculations, and Forms 5471 including supporting workpapers. Other job responsibilities will include tax information reporting, making estimated payments, tax audits and notice response, ASC 740 computations, and special projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant position requires general knowledge of taxation but will have the opportunity to become
proficient in all the following key tasks:
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns using OneSource
- Lead the calculation and tracking of tax depreciation across all company fixed asset accounts using Sage
FAS
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations concerning asset classification, recovery periods,
and tax accounting methods (e.g., MACRS, ADS, IRC §168(k) Bonus Depreciation)
- Import and dispose of assets in the Sage FAS system to compute tax depreciation and tax gain/loss; input
information into OneSource and prepare applicable federal and state corporate income tax forms (Form
4562, Form 4797, state equivalents)
- Prepare tax workpapers and code trial balances
- Compute M-3s based off general ledger account balance changes
- Prepare Forms 5471 & 8858 using VantagePoint
- Participate in the provision process by computing the projected book/tax differences for provision and
rolling forward the inventory of deferred tax assets and liabilities
- Compute estimated tax liabilities and payment amounts
- Assist in responding to tax audits and other inquiries
- Participate in planning projects when appropriate (e.g., Cost Segregation Studies)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, (MST and/or CPA is a plus)
- 2+ years relevant tax experience
- Experience with tax preparation software and tax research engines
- Strong accounting, analytical and tax technical skills

Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 USD (Annually)
