American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of experience, active WA state license, and Varian TrueBeam proficiency for a 13-week acute care Radiation Oncology assignment.

Acute care hospital Radiation Therapy / Oncology department
-
Facility equipped with 4 exam rooms, 2 TrueBeam Linear Accelerators, and 1 GE CT Scanner
-
Treats all cancer types across an average of 25–35 patients per day
-
Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM warmup shift if/when trained)

8-hour day shifts; no weekend or holiday requirements
-
No call, standby, or floating requirements

EMR: Epic and ARIA
-
Active Washington State Radiation Therapist license required; license required if applicable
-
Active ARRT (R) and BLS (AHA) certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
-
Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience required
-
Experience with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators required

Experience with ARIA treatment management system required

A valid driver's license is required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms and equipment, accurately delivering prescribed radiation treatments, verifying treatment doses, patient positioning and monitoring, imaging, and treatment delivery

Additional duties include patient education, documentation of treatments, and maintaining detailed records in ARIA and Epic
-
Obtain appropriate port films on patients when prescribed

Orientation consists of 1 day of Epic training followed by 1–2 weeks of supervised on-machine training with other therapists

Travelers must have a personal Dosimetry Badge prior to starting the assignment; a spare may be available if one cannot be obtained in time
-
Solid-colored scrubs required; no specific color designated

First-time travelers will be considered with the right experience and qualifications
-
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
