Head Cook – Lunchtime Solutions
Location: On-site at DC West Community Schools
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Head Cook to join our school food service program. What You’ll Do
- Lead daily food production by preparing high‑quality meals, following recipes, supporting special diets, and helping with catering and serving‑time readiness.
- Keep the kitchen organized and compliant by maintaining clean work areas, overseeing storage organization using FIFO, completing HACCP logs, production records, inventories, and participation tracking.
- Support food safety by monitoring safe practices and maintaining a healthy, compliant workspace.
- Assist with ordering, stocking, prep lists, freezer pulls, and serving during meal times.
- Help train team members and fill in for other kitchen duties when needed.
What You Bring
- HS Diploma or GED Preferred
- 1 year of cooking experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
- Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
