Job Summary
Pace Air Freight is seeking a second or third shift Dispatcher. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and extremely detail oriented. Must have at least 1 year dispatching experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include coordinating the movements of drivers/trucks/cargo that are entering and exiting terminals, communication with truck drivers through computers, phones or two-way radios, assigning drivers to trucks and making sure that they leave and arrive on schedule. Duties also include working directly with the clients through telephone calls, email and ensuring their questions and concerns are always handled with speed, accuracy and professionalism. Communicate with warehouse staff regarding Loading/unloading freight using and coordinating movement of cargo to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum High School Education
- Valid drivers license
- One year Dispatch experience required
- basic Knowledge of trucking industry regulations
- Knowledge of business computer software, Microsoft software, data entry, Internet browsers
- Must pass criminal Background check (this is a TSA regulated facility)
