- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently to process cash and card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously through effective time management while delivering prompt service.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest creative drink ideas to enhance the bar menu.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, process payments accurately, and balance registers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; fine dining experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales tracking, and food safety knowledge for responsible beverage service.
- Previous experience in restaurant or banquet settings is advantageous; catering experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and adherence to health regulations is essential.
